Thomas K. Choi
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS)Thomas Choi is a satellite entreprenuer with over 15 years of experience in the Satellite and Aerospace industry. He is Co-Founder and CEO of Asia Broadcast Satellite Limited (ABS). Prior to ABS, Mr. Choi founded Speedcast, a satellite service company that is a joint venture between Techsystem Ltd. and AsiaSat. Mr. Choi is a significant shareholder in all the companies that he has created since coming to Asia in 1999. He spent more than five years as a business development executive at Hughes Communications, and served as a technical staff member at Rockwell International. Mr. Choi has a BS in Aerospace Engineering and an MBA from University of Southern California.
Mr. Choi serves as a member of the Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of ASIA (CASBAA) board of Directors and council of Governors.
Gordon Clancy
Chairman of Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) and Managing Director for Citigroup Venture Capital International (CVCI)Gordon has led the business in Asia since 2001. Prior to his current role, Gordon was responsible for Citigroup's private equity business in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Previously, Gordon was head of Citicorp's Global Research and Investor Marketing Groups. Gordon managed Global Derivatives research and technology, and helped develop Citibank's Derivatives business into a market leader. He is a member of the International Institute of Finance Equity Advisory Group and the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Venture Capital Association. Gordon holds an M.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Toronto.
Christopher Botsford
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ADM CapitalChristopher Botsford is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of ADM Capital and a member of ADM Capital's Investment Committee. Before establishing ADM Capital, Chris ran the Asia-Pacific regional debt and derivatives operation for Republic National Bank of New York. In 1995, he was a founding board member of the Asian arm of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, the self-governing body for the derivatives industry. Chris holds a Master's degree in Engineering from Downing College, Cambridge University, England. He has lived in Asia for 13 years.
Chikara Okada
Director of Citigroup Venture Capital International (CVCI)Chikara has been with CVCI since 2003 in its Hong Kong and Tokyo offices. Prior to CVCI he was with Broadview International (now Jeffries Broadview) where he was last based in its Silicon Valley office as a Vice President in its TMT mergers and acquisitions practice. Previously, he has held positions with JP Morgan & Co and Coopers & Lybrand as a technology consultant. He graduated with an AB from the University of California, Berkeley.
John Stanton
Chief Executive Officer of People TelecomCEO of People Telecom, a listed full-service telecommunications provider in Australia. John has spent the past 17 years in diverse telecommunications roles in the USA, Europe and Australia. For the past seven years he has held senior positions at Intelsat, one of the world's largest providers of fixed satellite services. He joined Intelsat in 1999 as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, based in Washington DC, before moving to London in 2001 to become President of Intelsat Global Sales & Marketing Ltd, with customers in 200 countries and territories worldwide. Prior to joining Intelsat John was Managing Director of Telstra Payphones and Smartcards in Sydney, Australia and also held a number of management roles in the international business group of Telstra and OTC throughout the 1990s. John began his career as a political journalist and also spent four years as a political adviser to Federal Government Ministers in Canberra.
Bob Wardrop
Co-Chairman for DAM CapitalBob is Co-Chairman for DAM Capital, a Luxembourg-based specialty finance business serving European mid-sized companies, Mr. Wardrop, started his career in Brand Management with Proctor & Gamble Canada in 1979. From 1982 to 1991 he was the founder and CEO of Digital Media Networks, a Canadian company that provided satellite data services to retailers across the US and Canada. After moving to Europe in 1991 he spent the next 8 years leading business development and project finance assignments on behalf of European companies engaged in satellite-related projects.
Bob is a Canadian with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from Queen's University in Canada, and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.
