Engineer – Spectrum Management (US based)

The Job

The Spectrum Management Engineer conducts regulatory due diligence, validates requirements and submits International Telecommunication Union (ITU) filings for new satellite networks in the unplanned / planned Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) and planned Broadcast Satellite Services (BSS) frequency bands.  He/she reviews ITU circulars and performs detailed interference calculations.  He/she will assist the development of strategies and oversees technical frequency coordination activities to complete coordination of the Company’s satellite networks.  He/she has to identify suitable test locations and performs In-Orbit Test coordination.  He/she also conducts spectrum sharing and interference analysis to predict system performance.   He/she designs satellite antenna beams using Satsoft and manages the engineering aspects of FCC earth station applications through the utilization of ITU MSPACE, GIMS and GIBC software programs.

Requirements

The candidate should possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering
• At least 2 years relevant working experience as Spectrum Engineer in satellite communication
• Proficiency to use ITU MSPACE, GIBC and GIMS programs and Satsoft application
• Previous experience to work with people from different cultures a must
• Be an excellent team player
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering plus 5 years relevant working experience will also be considered

Senior Sales Engineer (US based)

The Job

The Senior Sales Engineer is part of the Sales team, providing technical support to customers and the sales team before and during the execution of all business deals.  He has to conduct pre-qualification technical due diligence of new regional sales opportunities and prepare technical proposals in response to customer’s service requests.   He works closely with VP / Director of Sales and support the design and development of new products, offers bespoke technical advice and solutions associated with satellite transitions, service restoration and new satellite neighborhoods.  He is also a member of the think tank on business processes and development of software applications to deliver best in class satellite operation services.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent relevant vocational training
• At least 5 years working experience in a multinational sales engineering or applications engineering role
• Direct customer interface for sales pitching or customer service/support essential

Master Control Room Operations Executive (Hong Kong Based)

The MCR Operations Executive is required to work at our teleport in Chung Hom Kok, Hong Kong.  He/She is responsible for the provision of network services and maintenance of our systems including satellite digital TV broadcasting systems and data systems.

The Job

• Monitor Video Automation System and Master Control for Satellite TV.
• Handle real time program transmission operation, for both pre-recorded materials playout and live broadcast.
• Prepare on-air materials.
• Monitor performance of broadcasting services.
• Handle ad hoc situation for the operation.
• Prepare operational report for services outage and abnormalities.
• Need to work in shifts.

Requirements

• Diploma or above, fresh graduate or candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistance MCR Operations Executive.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Good command of spoken English and Chinese is a must.
• Self-motivated and great sense of responsibility.
• Understanding of broadcast operations, with experience on using different kinds of broadcast/automation system advantage.
