SCPC Data Links

Satellite access schemes dictate that many VSATs in a network can share bandwidth when communicating with one another or with the Hub. SCPC ( Single Channel Per Carrier) VSAT networks allocate its own dedicated channel for communication. The channel is reserved and always ON whether it is used or not. ISPs in developing countries connect to their upstream Internet provider using SCPC circuits as they are constantly in use and ISPs need guaranteed bandwidth to provide their customers with acceptable service levels. In a Hybrid System, VSAT systems will use different access schemes to receive and transmit information. For example, it is common to find VSAT systems using SCPC for transmission but TDMA or FDMA for reception.

At ABS, we realize that the cost of satellite bandwidth can often be a significant portion of the expense in utilizing VSAT services, which is why our engineers tailor design VSAT solutions based on our customer's specific needs and utilize the most advanced VSAT technologies that manage satellite bandwidth as effectively and efficiently as possible.
